AT&T's Donovan Gets Bigger Role in Post-TWX Org: Reports![]() If regulators approve AT&T's $85.4 billion acquisition of Time Warner, John Donovan could lead the helm of a larger division within the service provider, according to reports. Under the reorganized company, AT&T would split into a "Comcast-like" structure, according to Seeking Alpha. Time Warner would be a separate media division under the stewardship of John Stankey, who currently runs DirecTV and other entertainment assets, wrote Bloomberg. Currently the chief strategy officer and group president of AT&T Technology and Operation, Donovan would head wireless and wireline, as well as DirecTV, the report said. Randall Stephenson is slated to remain as chairman and CEO. One Comcast executive oversees the company's cable operations; another is responsible for NBCUniversal. Related posts:
