Democrats File Bill Demanding Net Neutrality's ReturnAs expected, Senate Democrats today introduced "Save the Internet," a bill designed to bring back much of the 2015 Federal Communications Commission order that mandated net neutrality and defined ISPs as Title II service providers. Broadband World News covered House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's plans to announce the bill on Tuesday. If it becomes law, the bill will take broadband control away from a group of three to five appointed commissioners and place it in the hands of elected officials. "It's a fight that we can win," Senator and bill sponsor Ed Markey (D-MA) said at a presser that introduced the bill. He said a companion bill will be introduced to the House on Friday.
