BBWF Announces 'Broadband Oscars' Categories![]()
Broadband World Forum, the globe’s largest event for the fixed-network community, announced the categories for this year’s Broadband Awards. Described by Broadband World Forum Portfolio Director Heather James as the "Oscars of the broadband world," this year there are 13 categories, covering areas ranging from Best Fixed-Access Solution to the coveted Customer Choice Award. "This year's categories have been designed to showcase innovation in network technology, fresh products or business models, as well as those delivering broadband for social good," said James, describing the selection of the categories, which recognize products, initiatives or services launched between May 2017 and June 2018. Entries will open on June 5 with the winners announced at a gala awards evening at the Meistersaal, Berlin on Oct. 24. Want to know more about the categories and criteria for entries? Find them here.
