SES showed off its new high-capacity, medium-Earth orbit satellite, which will form its 11-satellite O3b mPower constellation. SES plans to hook into Microsoft Azure to establish an aggregated, multi-orbit network.

Median download speeds for the satellite broadband service hit 97.2 Mbit/s in the US, up from 65.7 Mbit/s in Q1 2021, according to Ookla's Q2 2021 Speedtest data.
